2009 marks Think Pink Bahrain’s 5th year anniversary. Half a decade later they continue to go from strength to strength. The awareness that they have generated about breast cancer with the help of the local community and local business’s has been priceless.
Hamad Al Fardan, a local young driving talent, is not only making waves on the International Circuit but is also the Middle East’s biggest hopeful for entering the pinnacle of Motor Sports: FORMULA 1. Having been supported by his community from his early days, he feels the need to give back to the community that supported him all these years.

Think Pink Bahrain & Hamad Al Fardan, have joined forces this year to launch Hamad’s Community Social Responsibility Program “The RACE AGAINST CANCER.”
Hamad Al Fardan & Think Pink Bahrain will be raising funds through selling of the Official Merchandise of the HAMAD AL FARDAN RACE AGINST CANCER CAPS, and the funds will be directed towards Think Pink Bahrain’s goal for this year.
The Think Pink Bahrain 2009 “I check” campaign:
Think Pink Bahrain’s 2009 message is to empower women to proudly and bravely raise their hands and say ‘I check’ in acknowledgment of breast cancer and the role that having monthly self checks and mammograms have in detecting breast cancer early and saving lives. Hamad Al Fardan proudly raises his hand in support and unity with men and women to spread the important message that “Your life is in your hands”, make sure you are getting checked.
With the “I check campaign”, Think Pink are aiming to raise the amount of 880,000.00 BD ( Eight Hundred and Eighty Thousand Bahraini Dinars ) for the purchase of a state of the art MRI Screening Machine, the first of its kind in Bahrain, for the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) Oncology Department.
